Outdoor Play
At Jelly Bears Day Nursery we recognise the importance of daily outdoor play and physical development and are committed to ensuring all children have daily access regardless of their age or stage of development.
Caring for Babies and Toddlers
At Jelly Bears Day Nursery we care for babies and toddler under the age of two as well as pre-school children.
Use of Dummies in Nursery
At Jelly Bears Day Nursery we recognise that a dummy can be a source of comfort for a child who is settling and/or upset, and that it may often form part of a child’s sleep routine.

Conflict Resolution with Parents and Aggressive Behaviour
At Jelly Bears Day Nursery we believe that we have a strong partnership with our parents and an open door policy to discuss any matters arising (if applicable).
Access, Storage and Retention of Records
At Jelly Bears Day Nursery we have an open access policy in relation to accessing information about the nursery and parents’ own children.
Late Collection and Non-Collection of Children
At Jelly Bears Day Nursery we have morning, afternoon and all day sessions. Parents are able to collect their child from the nursery flexibly within this time period.
Admissions
At Jelly Bears Day Nursery we care for up to 30 children per day between the ages of 3 months and 5 years.
Arrivals and Departures
At Jelly Bears Day Nursery we give a warm welcome and goodbye to every child and family on their arrival and departure, as well as ensuring the safety of children, parents, visitors, employees, volunteers and students.
Gun and Superhero Play
We support all children’s interests to further develop their play, learning and development, including the use of gun and superhero play, in line with the EYFS requirements and our Quality Provision Policy, Early learning opportunities statement and Promoting Positive Behaviour Policy.
Online Safety
Our nursery is aware of the growth of the internet and the advantages this can bring.
This policy should be read in conjunction with the Data Protection and Confidentiality Policy, Acceptable Internet Use Policy and GDPR privacy notice.
Children’s Well-being in the Nursery
Well-being is a broad term that covers how you feel about yourself and your life. It encompasses the physical, emotional (and mental), social and spiritual areas of a person.
Multiple Birth Families
At Jelly Bears Day Nursery we ensure that all families are included and supported fully, no matter how big or small.
Anti-Bribery
The Bribery Act 2010 creates an offence which can be committed by an organisation which fails to prevent persons associated with them from committing bribery on its behalf, but only if that person performs services for you in business.
